iPhone 5 Personal Hot Spot rapid Battery Drain

Whenever I use the Personal Hot Spot on my Verizon iPhone 5, I have it plugged in and the battery would charge and stay at 100%, but lately the battery drains faster than charging can maintain it. Two or three times I have the phone automatically turn off the personal hot spot because the battery got to low. This all has been since the last software update.

AT&T LTE Data Network

I switch to my AT&T LTE MiFi and now I'm seeing 6.5 to 7.0 Mbs upload speed. I'm glad I have my AT&T MiFi for times like this. I don't use it all the time because I only have a 6 Gb family shared plan with AT&T but my Verizon iPhone from work has unlimited data and only costs me $10 a month.

Verizon LTE data network saturation.

I'm seeing that Verizon's LTE data network in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area is already over saturated. I'm getting 3 to 4 bars signal strength but only averaging 1.4 MBS upload speed. That's what the old 3G data network is rated at. Earlier this week when I left work I was seeing less than 1 MBS upload speeds with 4 to 5 bars of signal strength.
