Dolphin Browser for iPad – one of the leading alternative browsers for the iPad – has been updated again today, to Version 5.0.
The theme of this latest update is ‘Now you can say a Dolphin never forgets’ – as two of the headline new features are all about the browser remembering helpful information for you. Here’s the change list for the new Version 5.0:
Now you can say a Dolphin never forgets! Now Dolphin remembers your passwords and fills in search selections based on your past history. Just another couple of ways Dolphin is making mobile browsing even faster. Check out the full list below.
1.Save Passwords: Forget inputting the same password information in again and again, Dolphin will remember and save for future use.
2.Auto-complete: Dolphin now remembers your browsing history, bookmarks and searches to make typing in the URL bar even faster.
3.Dolphin Connect: Check out our slick new redesign that makes it easier to sync your bookmarks across all your Dolphin devices.
4.Share via Email: Quickly share webpage URLs in your email.
5.The Norm: Various stability and performance improvement.
This is my favorite alternative browser for the iPad – the one that will very likely become my default iPad browser very quickly if and when Apple allows us that option in iOS. It was a Best Free iPad App of the Week pick and a selection in our Best iPad Apps of 2011 list.
Here’s an App Store link for Dolphin Browser for iPad; it’s still a free app.
