This gives "crank telephones" a whole new meaning…

crankerator

Did you ever see one of those old, wall-mounted telephones that you had to crank to get the operator's attention in old movies? Well, the Crankerator isn't like that. This accessory from Photojojo is a backup battery with an emergency power source. It works with smart phones, cameras, and tablets, and a fully charged Crankerator should completely recharge a phone. There's a 2000 mAH lithium battery inside that recharges with the included microUSB cable. The Crankerator also acts as an emergency emergency power source because it has a built-in turbine charger. Sixty seconds of cranking will get you about 4 minutes for an emergency call when you really need it. The Crankerator is $60 and will ship in May from Photojojo.
