Sidney Kirkpatrick Featured on New Travel Channel Program Monumental Mysteries
Monumental Mysteries, a new television program on the Travel Channel, scours the country for America's most extraordinary monuments and reveals the amazing mysteries hidden within. Hosted by Don Wildman, this series visits the statues, memorials, national parks, sculptures, and gravestones that commemorate our nation's most intriguing events, notorious crimes, scandals, disasters and triumphs. A new episode airs every Thursdays at 9 p.m. (Eastern Time).
In a new episode scheduled to air on Thursday, June 27, 2013, Don Wildman travels to Hopkinsville, Ky., to visit the grave site of a mysterious psychic, Edgar Cayce. He is joined by Sidney Kirkpatrick, the author of Edgar Cayce: An American Prophet considered the definitive biography of Edgar Cayce.
Edgar Cayce was born in Christian County, Ky., on March 18, 1877. It was there that he discovered his remarkable psychic talents and embarked upon a lifetime of service to God and mankind. A simple grave marker honors him: "Edgar Cayce-a psychic counselor and healer. A humble and religious man, Cayce never profited from his predictions. Used reputed gift of extrasensory perception, including medical diagnosis, to better man's understanding of God's purpose for him here on earth. Born near here, 1877. Died, Va., 1945. Buried here."

Sidney D. Kirkpatrick III is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and bestselling author. His book Edgar Cayce: An American Prophet—described by The New Yorker as "a codex for the New Age"—is considered the definitive biography of Edgar Cayce.
