Google Killing Off Sync for BlackBerries and Mobile GTalk

via Phone Scoop - Latest News by Eric M. Zeman on 4/20/12

Google today announced a number of products that it is discontinuing or will no longer support over the coming weeks. Though most of the services are related to Google's desktop services, two mobile products are being affected. Beginning June 1, Google will stop supporting Google Sync for BlackBerry. Google said that users who have already downloaded the app will still be able to use it, but it will no longer be available for download and won't be maintained after June 1. Google suggests that Google Sync for BlackBerry users switch to BlackBerry Internet Service, or the Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Google believes these products offer a better experience for syncing email, calendar, and contacts. Also, Google is shutting down the mobile web app for Google Talk. Google recommends mobiel Google Talk users switch to the native Google Talk app on Android or any XMPP-compliant app on other mobile platforms.
