I recorded the debates so I could hear answers and exchanges more than once. I agreed with some things, disagreed with a lot. Here's my impression of the candidates.

Mitt Romney - A snoozefest. I ended up fast forwarding through some of his answers. He reminds me of the nitpicky kid in class who volunteers to be a hall monitor.

Rick Santorum - What would happen if Pat Robertson and Dick Cheney had a love child? I cannot believe people will willingly vote for a guy who wants to double down on neoconservatism. Does ANYONE still buy that ****? And everything he says sounds like whining.

Ron Paul - Dude's just too damned old. Watching him hesitate before answering questions, I was watching a guy who's time has passed, sadly. It's weird to respect a guy when I disagree with 98% of what he says.

Newt Gingrich - Funny how he tried to trash Mitt, but instead of manning up he would bring up the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times. Good performance in general though, at least he didn't spend his time bragging about his enormous brain again.

John Huntsman - A guy that sounds like he actually knows stuff. Very impressive, whether you agree with him on the issues or not. Not afraid to buck the party orthodoxy, which was impressive.

Rick Perry - What a simplistic dumbass. If America was a cartoon he'd be a great President.

So, to sum up, I thought the best performances were Newt and Huntsman, by far.
