This is starting to get boring! No chrono data yet, circumstances have conspired against me on multiple occasions.
Let’s hit the big three bullet points that we’ll be checking each week:
- Group size: From a standing two handed position, I shot a 4 inch group at 25 yards with the Hornady Steel Match. No rests or support were used, so next week we’ll have to shoot a supported group.
- Ejection pattern: still consistent, still boring. I did have another round eject oddly this week where it went straight up and just a little left, but the other 249 rounds were fine.
- Magazine feed lips: Still firm.
This week was pretty straightforward, just some general practice as I’m starting to prepare for Area 1 in April. Nothing tough or too crazy.
- Rounds fired: 250
- Total: 982
- Stoppages: 0
Like I said at the top, this is starting to get boring. I’m hoping that as the year progresses, I’ll be able to do some more shooting and get a significantly higher number of rounds down range. Things have gotten off to a slow start this year with shooting. YTD I’ve fired 3093 rounds compared to ~5200 last year by this time. With some big matches coming up and a solid two months of no travel (fingers crossed) I should be able to punch that total up quite a bit.
