Over time I’ve come to realize that some of the things I love the most in the world are things I didn’t expect to like to begin with. Here’s a list.
Kahr PM9
This is my favorite carry gun, hands down. Have you read my review? It’s just awesome. I have almost 1,000 rounds through the thing now and it doesn’t malfunction, it’s totally shootable and it’s easy to conceal.
Garrett Industries Silent Thunder II AIWB
I’m still not sure I understand the leather interior, but this is my favorite carry holster, hands down. Is it funny my favorite carry rig is entirely made up of products I didn’t expect to like? Probably.
Glock 34
I’m a girl, it won’t fit my hands, plus it’s a soulless Glock. Too bad it points perfectly, hardly recoils and runs well. Will I end up buying one? The jury’s still out.
Glock 17 RTF
Still a soulless Glock that won’t fit my girly hands, but ever since all the cool kids bought them I’ve wanted one. I think it has less to do with all the cool kids having them and more to do with the fact the RTF frame on a 17 is just awesome.
.22s
There was at time when I was way too cool for .22s, then I realized I was being an idiot. Now I’m going to build an awesome open gun out of one.
The lesson? Try things. You may be surprised what you hate, what you like and what ends up in your collection.
