Eco-friendly picnic ware

terrain-bamboo-picnic-goods

Summer's here, and that means cookouts and picnics. If you prefer using disposable plates but feel guilty about the loss of trees to make the often-flimsy plates or the non-biodegradable styrofoam, you might prefer using bamboo ware. Terrain sells disposable plates and "boats" for hotdogs or ice cream sundaes that are made of renewable, decomposable bamboo. These pieces are single use and rather expensive, but they may be just what you need to off-set some of your carbon-footprint guilt. A set of 25 Bamboo Picnic Boats are $20; 10 Bamboo Picnic Plates are $18.00. They also have a line of Whittled Picnic Spoon, Forks, and Knives; it's $12 for a set any one type.
