Rockcastle 3-gun competitor shooting in Kentucky

The second annual Rockcastle AR15.com 3-gun competition is underway in Park Mammoth, Kentucky. Three days of running and gunning with their favorite rifle, pistol and shotguns. Three days to make your way through eight stages of clay targets, paper targets and the dreaded cave stage. Three days of fun.

Presented by Brownells, Sinclair, Policestore.com and Hornady, the competition's maiden voyage was such a success that officials are expecting an even bigger crowd for this year's event. We're not just talking competitors here ... we're talking friends, families, media types and more.

Don't believe it? Then believe the great pictures we're getting thanks to the good people at MagPul (Yes, all pics from the post are courtesy of John, Drew, Duane and the others attending the event for MagPul ... thanks guys.)

Before the weekend is done, more than 500 shooters are expected to make their way through the various courses, making it the largest gathering of competitors (and sponsors) at any one 3-gun outing.

We'd love to tell you that there are interviews, stories and updates on the way ... but we can't. At least not yet.

But we're working on it.
