iA Writer,the superb writing app for iPad and iPhone, is on sale at 50% off – down from $1.99 to just 99 cents. There are no specifics on the timeframe for this sale, but generally these sort of price reductions for this app last anywhere from a few days to a couple of months.
This is by far and away my favorite pure writing app on both the iPad and on my MacBook Pro. It has an almost invisible, elegant UI, great typography, keyboard extensions for commonly used special characters, and a very useful focus mode. It syncs via iCloud and Dropbox and in both cases the sync is flawless.
It’s also a universal app, designed to run on both iPad and iPhone. If you do a lot of writing on your iPad this might be the best 99 cents you ever spend if you decide to pick this app up.
