Cricket Wireless today announced a new promotion that offers discounts on service and significantly reduced device prices for new customers who port their number in from another carrier. First, Cricket is offering all new customers $10 off its Muve Music monthly rate plans, dropping the rates to $45 and $55 per month. Second, Cricket is offering massive device subsidies for customers who port their number from a competing wireless carrier. Cricket is offering a switcher incentive rebate of up to $90.00, which is added to other instant rebates for significant savings. The ZTE Score, for example, is free after the combined rebates. It normally costs $149.99. The promotion will run for the remainder of the month.
